Don't miss this post if cinnamon rolls are part of your holiday traditions.

Question: Why do cinnamon rolls pop up in the middle?

  1. Not enough room to expand inside the pan
  2. Rolling the dough too tightly during shaping

How to avoid this or fix it if it happens:

  1. Avoid stretching the dough while shaping.
  2. Use slightly larger pans. (For example, 9-inch instead of 8-inch pans.
  3. If the center pops up, gently push the rogue part of the roll back down inside after baking and before the rolls cool and set.

If it tears, don’t panic — what you do next depends on your dough and timing. What to Do If Your Dough Fails the Test If your dough will be resting for hours...

sliced bread machine wild rice bread

Let your bread machine do the kneading, then bake in your oven to golden perfection. If you’ve got leftover cooked wild rice in the fridge, this recipe is a great way to use it. And if you brush slices of this loaf with browned butter …well,...
